Kat Weil

Kat was injured as a teenager in a car accident but is leading a great life with her mother in Albuquerque, NM. They trained together and were very excited to be part of the 2010 trip. Kat's story has been told in a book and a made for TV movie in the 1980's. Kat loves life large and really loves to scuba dive and was trained at the New Mexico Scuba Center.

Our Mission

Based on camaraderie, compassion, freedom to dive, and the Code of Conduct, Dive Pirates will support, train, equip, and provide dive travel to individuals with disabilities through Classified Scuba Diving.

Our Vision

Dive Pirates will create a community of Disabled Divers that will dive and travel in the mainstream world of Scuba Diving through education and overcoming obstacles.
