Theresa Brown Cortez
Executive Director
Theresa started her own public relations consulting business in the fall 2010, TBarC Communications, taking on the role of Director of Communications and Development for the Dive Pirates Foundation, and is now the Executive Director. Theresa is responsible for chapter development, fundraising, and all internal and external communications for the foundation.
A proud Longhorn, Theresa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in journalism, and spent 10 years as a broadcast journalist as a reporter, anchor and producer. Leaving television in 2001, she spent nine years with the largest municipally owned utility in the nation, CPS Energy in San Antonio, TX. Her last position held was Manager of News Media and Public Relations.
